Guest: Dr. Steven Aung
In 1973, Dr. Steven Aung, from his new home in Edmonton, introduced Canada to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
At the time of his arrival in Canada, Dr. Aung was an accredited Medical Doctor and a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. Dr. Aung believed then, as he does now, both forms of treatment are needed and valuable tools in healing and in living well. He says, "Western medicine is exceptionally good at treatment and Chinese medicine offers compassion and loving kindness. Without kindness there is no healing. Where there’s no healing, there’s no medicine. So I believe fully that integrated, compassionate medicine is our next century medicine."
