Guest: Steve Burton, Founder of Icicle
How safe is the food on your plate?
Steve Burton, following a terrifying bout of food poisoning, changed his purpose in life and now he’s working with food producers to help them ensure the food you eat is safe.
Burton points out, “You go to the grocery store, you pick a product off the shelf, you can see if it's gluten-free, non-GMO, organic. But there's actually nothing that tells you on the product whether or not the product is manufactured by a company that takes food safety seriously.”
Burton goes on to say that it’s up to you to ask your retailer about its food safety protocols.
