The Tsilhqot’in Supreme Court decision is certain to have an impact on investment and resource development in the province.
Tom Syer of the Business Council of British Columbia says the decision handed down in June by the Supreme Court is not a seismic event from the perspective of the Business Council. He points out the court's decision is another step towards reconciliation. According to Syer, "We've got hundreds of agreements between First Nations and businesses that enable and share prosperity in BC in a mutually beneficial way."
