Guest: Steven Zicherman (Vice President of Research at Odlum Brown)
Everywhere you turn, AI is in the headlines. In money markets, it’s far more than just headlines – it is driving a four year investment boom. According to Business Insider, since “the modern generative AI boom took off in late 2022, the NASDAQ Composite has increased by approximately 147.5%, while the NYSE Composite has risen by roughly 76.6%.”
“It’s easy to look at the market and scratch your head, wondering what to do as an investor,” says Steven Zicherman, Vice President of Research at Odlum Brown. “The opportunities for long term safe investment are vast. They cover the entire supply chain of the economy but the risks may be under-appreciated.”
The AI value chain includes infrastructure and utilities because data centres need immense power. It also includes large-cap tech companies such as Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, and others. The value chain also includes diversified funds such as iShares Future AI & Tech ETF, a global index of companies contributing to artificial intelligence and broad indexes such as the S&P 500.
We invited Steven Zicherman, Vice-President of Research at Odlum Brown, to join us for a Conversation That Matters about making sense of the artificial intelligence investment landscape.
